The U.S.S. Excelsior was built at the San Francisco space docks in 2284 and got the ID-number NX-2000. The ship was equipped with a completely new transwarp drive. After failing during several tests, the engine was changed to a standard warp drive and the ship's ID changed to NCC-2000. Five years later captain Hikaru Sulu got in charge of command. Here we offer the original model kit distributed by AMT/ERTL in 1994. A display stand and a set of decals are included.
