Queen: Freddie Mercury Statue
Here we offer an exact replica of the Freddie Mercury statue as standing at the Lake Léman at Montreux. The replica is made from a high-density resin and coated with high-grade lead-free pewter. Every single piece is polished by hand and varnished afterwards to preserve the high gloss surface. Because of this unique manufacturing process pieces of art of a superb quality are as possible. Five years after his death, a bronze statue was revealed by the Catalan opera singer Montserrat Caballé on Monday, November the 25th 1996. The statue was designed by the Czech artist Irena Sedlecka, showing Farrokh Pluto Bulsara (Freddie Mercury's real name) with open jacket looking over the lake of Geneva. The statue was funded by Freddie's family and the charity organisation, founded by Freddie. It is standing at this place, because it wasn't possible to find an adequate place in London. The statue can also be found on the cover of the last official Queen album "Made in Heaven".
