Kampfstern Galactica ist eine von Glen A. Larson entwickelte und produzierte Science Fiction TV-Serie aus den Jahren 1978 bis 1980. Das gigantische (1200 Meter) Kriegsschiff Galactica ist gehört zu den Kampfsternen der Kolonien und repräsentiert den Planeten Caprica. Die Kampfsterne sind Kombinationen aus Kriegs- und Trägerschiffen. Aufgabe der Kampfsterne ist es, die Bewohner der Zwölf Menschenkolonien gegen das zylonische Imperium zu verteidigen.
