300 is the sensational film adaptation of Frank Miller's correspondent comic. It is the story of 300 Spartans that in 480 BC. in Thermopylen, led by King Leonidas, defended the Occident against the armies of the Persian King Xerxes. This highly detailed Spartans plate was released by the manufacturer NECA on the U.S. launch of the movie. It´s a strictly limited edition of only 300 copies worldwide. The whole edition was totally sold out only a few weeks later. Meanwhile, these shields even sold for prices up to 2.000.00 U.S. dollar. This Spartan shield is extrem produced by using the original movie props forms. The entire surface and even the various "damage" by the battles are authentically reproduced. On the inside is a leather handle with two fixed adjustable arm belt appropriate. Even the forearm protective cap from a leather-like textile material is exactly like the original film plate.
