This is the spaceship "Discovery" from the legendary science fiction film 2001 - A Space Odyssey, that Stanley Kubrick filmed in 1968 after a short story by Arthur C. Clarke. The Discovery is managed by David Bowman (Keir Dullea) and Frank Pool (Gary Lockwood) and the computer HAL 9000 on a mission to Jupiter to find out whats about the mysterious signals of the famous black moon-monolith. This model is very detailed and it of cause incl. the fragile parabolic antenna system, which sadly can not be seen on the images.
