Which adhesive should I use?
For all of our models, we recommend to use so-called superglue which is normally available in two varieties: a normal fluid glue and a more viscid gel. The fluid adhesive will glue almost immediately, whereas the gel allows you to adjust the parts before it finally solidifies. For best results, we recommend you to have both varieties at your disposal.

What is the difference between resin (hard plastic) and vinyl?
These are two different kinds of plastic. Resin (hard plastic) is an artificial resin plastic. Model parts made of this are almost always solid. Resin can be filed, edged, cut, drilled etc. Vinyl is a flexible artificial plastic (sort of relatively solid PVC). Model parts made of vinyl are hollow inside.

Which colours are the most suitable?
You can use all kinds of model-making colours for resin models (hard plastic). For vinyl models you have to use acrylic model-making colours.

What do I have to do in order to make my model look as good as on the pictures?
This is not easy to answer here and now. If you call me (Ingo Siemon, +49 (251) 3794058), I can tell you some very good tricks on what to do to reach the elaborate-looking shadow and metal effects. However, in case you do not dare to do this yourself, you may also ask for our Painting-Service.

What does the size information, e.g. 1/6 or 1/8, mean?
This is information on the scale of a model. Example: Imagine a male, human character with a height of 180 cm. A 1/6 model of this person would have a height of 30 cm (180 cm / 6 = 30 cm).

Are the sword blades edged?
The blades of most of the samurai swords are indeed edged, whereas the blades of the movie, fantasy and historical swords are all just partially edged. If you need to know this exactly for a specific sword, please contact us (Contact and E-mail / Phone: +49 (251) 3794058).

Is there the SPACEart online-shop in English language too?

Does SPACEart have a shop?
